I’m fascinated by the ‘Scribbly’ Gum of Australia where the scribble is the work of the larvae of the Scribbly Moth. Is your photo above showing a similar process? LikeLike Reply
Yes but this was caused by a bark beetle larvae that began eating the inner bark when the tree was in a weakened state. Not sure of the beetle genus. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
