Exploring Nature in Northern Minnesota

This is where I write about my observations of nature in the small corner of the world in northern Minnesota I call home. Not very far away, usually just outside my door or occasionally a few thousand feet. On rare days, more than a mile or even farther when I want to revisit a favorite bog or forest.

My interests range from plants to fungi to insects and even some geology. At the moment, I am a bit obsessed with moths and want to learn more about them.

I have many more photos of plants, fungi, and animals that can be seen at PBase and Flickr.
